| At age 13, Vicki started playing the
guitar. Her inspirations for music came from Elvis, Patsy Cline and Jim Reeves. Vicki also
admires stars like Wynona Judd, Clint Black, Willie Nelson, Vince Gill and Asleep At The
Wheel. However, Vicki says she "likes all types of music". Vicki has appeared on television, some of which are 'Good Day Dallas' and Royel Clark's Songwriters Corner. Radio performances include Dallas, Houston, New York City and the local stations at home. Since 1992, Vicki has performed at many of the local opries and is currently a band member at one. In 1995 she was nominated for 'Specialty Act of the Year' by the Metroplex Country Music Association, then again in 1996 for 'Female Vocalist of the Year'. She was also nominated for 'Songwriter 2000' by the Coast-To-Coast Country Music Awards Show. Vicki has performed on the Barbara Fairchild Show in Branson. She has also joined opening acts for Janie Fricke and Barbara Fairchild. Whenever she finds time away from her day job (23 years as a Title Examiner) and music, she enjoys reading, gardening, landscaping, riding her Harley and camping in her R.V. Her future plans include going back to the studio to produce an album of original and cover songs, and possibly a Gospel album. One of her longtime goals is to have one of her original songs recorded by a known artist. Vicki says she wouldn't mind a little trip to Nashville to sing and/or record. Vicki says she just wants to keep 'pickin' and singing as long as she can. She also says "This is the best part.....performing! I love to sing.....I love music in general.....and the audience.....they're our real inspiration! I really appreciate the love and support they give us."
