| "Sky" Corbin was a deejay..and radio station owner/manager ...for almost 40 years, including about 12 years at KLLL, Lubbock, Texas and about 27 years at KMAD, Madill. Oklahoma. In his teens he learned to play rhythm guitar and sing the cowboy songs he grew up on and this led to his long radio career. He and one of his Lubbock deejays, the late Waylon Jennings, even wrote a few songs together back in the late 50's. Retired since 1997,"Sky" and his wife Pat live on their small ranch near Milburn, Oklahoma. They have 4 children who all live in the area, and l2 grandchildren and one new GREAT-grand-daughter. "Sky" was emcee and a featured entertainer at the very first Gene Autry, Oklahoma Festival and hasn't missed one yet! He especially loves to sing those good ol' Gene Autry tunes! |
